Hello all.
Had just set off for a trip to Wales and had got but a couple of miles from home on the motorway when a large sign blew off the top of a van in front and hit the front end of the car and the top corner of the caravan, the damage to the car is irrelevant but if you could offer advice on the damage to the van that will be appreciated. We have a 2005 Bailey Vendee worth about 4-5k and it now has a decent hole about the size of a side plate in the top corner including the smaller window on the front, the visible damage is limited to the front only (not roof or side) but inside it has pushed back and cracked the bulkhead around the window and the cupboards which are now out of line and difficult to open, also where the cupboards finish attaching to the heater cupboard it has cracked the panel with the heater switches and tv sockets in it so all in all it has had quite a healthy impact.
My question is please is is this something that a repair might likely be undertaken on (if so by who in the northwest) or do vans of this value get written off in the same manner as cars do?
Many thanks.
Kev.
