Hi i have just rebuilt my Van from the inside,The front of the Van has three windows and the two plastic Pieces between the windows had snaped, these have now been Repaired and the new framework is in place,(but before i put the inside board up around the windows to finish the job inside)I would like to strenghten these plastic uprights between the windows even more,Would it be in order to put Duck tape around the plastic and the window frame to help secure it,and then give a light covering of car putty over the tape to make it a smooth finish, and then paint, after all when the seals go on the windows you will only see about one and half inchs between the windows,(hope you can understand what im trying to say)also to finish the job inside would you recommend the 3mm ply or would a bookcase backing do bearing in mind this is only gloriefied cardboard, and as when the blinds are in place you do not see much of the internal wood,it seems to me i have to buy a bit of 7X4 just to see six inches on each side and four inches across the bottom of the windows, can i put this internal boarding up in bits rather than one whole bit as im going to paper finally,Sorry about the lengthy question but would say thx to any advice,Eddie
