Quick question sorry if it sounds dumb but we are new to caravanning. We have just bought a lovely 2010 swift challenger 480.
is it possible to use a front tow cover on this model?
it has rails on both sides but only one opening at one side.
thanks.

These are available as a model specific and as generic ones. The ones made specifically for your model are more expensive but safer as they will have provision for your lights and should be a tighter fit. generic ones could be a bit loose in places and rub the paintwork but cost less so you have to decide if the extra cost of the model for your caravan is for you.
Makers of model specific ones are Specialised Covers and Protec who will quote you for your caravan.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping I could have fitted a generic one instead of ordering a made to measure one at £230 which is what protec want.
I’ll probably not bother now.

We have a 'one size fits all' Rhino brand cheapy off ebay and used it on a Bailey Valencia for several years with absolutely no problem at all. Its now sat in the garage until we get around to disposing of it. Only changed as it does not fit our new van very well as the rails are set further back.

The rail opening is not an issue, any caravan mechanic will be able to open a new slot in it.

....if you're interested you can have it for £20 plus postage...

Thanks for your offer. we purchased a generic one hoping it would fit but obviously it doesnt because it will only slide up one side. The way to go as you say is open the other side at the bottom.
