I wonder how long fuel prices will keep dropping? Have come down from 2€ here. Would like to fill up two cars 140 litres before the inevitable winter crunch.

Had to make a no notice visit to Coventry yesterday as I was quite surprised to see branded petrol prices in Cirencester, Stow and Moreton cheaper than in Chippenham. That’s a complete reversal of a situation that has been stable for years. Even our supermarket prices are more expensive than the branded ones in Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. I’m sure that our prices reflect the fact that two large Esso forecourts are closed for extensive refurbishment and the competition has reduced.

Seperatly just north of Bourton a large building works is underway to construct what the sign says will be Europes largest charging station. On the Fosse no less……!!!

According to the RAC, the cost of charging an EV using public p.a.y.g. chargers has increased by 42% in the last four months.
The increasing cost of domestic electricity is said to be putting many new car owners off buying an EV.

Not wishing to drop into the EV " hole", all I can say is that the COL in Coventry is a bonus. Meal for four people, two courses and one round of drinks just over £50, plus Doombar was £3.20 a pint, whereas a country pub last week in South Wales was £3.75 and I thought that to be good price .Think we will all have to move back to the Midlands, as my wife and daughter were in Birmingham Saturday and Sunday and also found the city centre eateries cheap too. My wife in her pink fleece went down a storm at the Gay Pride events, but the Andrea Bocelli concert was more measured.

Where we at present just filled our car up with diesel it was 1.69.9
That's really good. Lowest around here is £1.75.9 . I had to fill up with £90 worth, then do a 200 mile trip and then topped up that evening with another £40 I managed 43 mpg.
