I have worked bloody hard for what I have too,and by the way I've owned several 4X4 in the past.
I do believe in free choice and also buying the right vehicle for the job.
Next time you pass a school, just have a look to see how many Disco's, Mitsy's, Dual cabs and Range rovers you can see, then look to see how many actually have a tow bar or fresh mud on them. Then I'm sure you'll see where the "chelsea tractor" comments come from.
All my 4X4's were bought with one thing in mind, towing to the max (3500Kgs)which they did very well. But with a 40 foot turning circle and fuel guzzeling at 25mpg at best, they were crap as everyday cars.
My Laguna does 40 mpg solo and 29.5 mpg towing to the max which is more palletable given todays cost of motoring.
Why not convert your anguish into a fuel protest!!
