Fully serviced pitch guidance required please

I have just managed, by ringing at just the right moment, to get a fully serviced pitch at a very popular site during bank holiday in August. Anyway I have never bothered in the past with fully serviced pitches but as I'm paying for one I might as well make the most of it.

Question is what do I need? I see little point taking the grey waste collector with me (or should I?). My van is a lunar with three outlets at the back centre. I have a pipe arrangement that diverts the three into one (we don't use the shower anyway but you never know). Might this need extending ? where is the grey waste receptacle normally on a serviced pitch?

My aqua roll has a side hole in it (As well as one in the top) What do I need to make this work or is it just as easy to take it the few metres to the tap?

All advice appreciated

There are no hard and fast rules as to how far away the waste will be We have been on sites where we have needed little more piping than we would usually have to fit in the Wastemaster and others where 3 or 4 metres were needed

For the aquaroll you will need a hose with the connectors at each end,one to fit on the tap and one on the valve end These from Aquaroll are

As Gill says sites vary.

At the C&CC site at Chertsey, which had a makeover only a couple of years ago, the gully to discharge the waste in to is right at the back of the pitch. For side discharging vans you need long lengths of waste pipe. By contrast, the CC site at Brighton has waste inlets at the side of the van so only short lengths are required.

As for water, some sites have the pressure at the water outlets reduced. However, in all instances we use the Whale fitment that connects directly to the van so does not require the Aquaroll and the vastly exhorbitant valve mechanism (how do they justify the price).

You may also need a lengthy tv hookup cable - but there again, on many sites, ordinary pitches with electric have tv hookups. What is really useful is to have a Status external TV hookup point on the outside of the van.

On a fully seviced pitch, subject to the shower being a suitable size, you might find that it is far more pleasant to use, especially as there are no worries about running out of water or the waste container becoming full.

Unless you are one of the vanners who thinks that any modern convenience spoils the experience then you should enjoy an all service pitch.
