Hi all

I asked a question on being put opn english ins with having an overseas license.

FYI if it helps anyelse.

My daughters insurance said yes, but only temporarily for visitors.. not sure about all insurers though.

All insurers will look at this on an individual basis. They look at age, experience, the car itself and possibly the country where the experience was gained, and make a decision. Most European countries and westernised ones should be acceptable, but less organised ones might be a problem. People who have emigrated, are abroad temporarily but learned to drive here should be acceptable, but every company will have its own criteria, so there is no easy answer.
