Gas BBQ

You may have seen my moan about gas BBQs in September. I've now read the instructions (ha ha, another idiot you say!); they make a big point of using butane at 28mBar and propane at 37mB. That means you cannot get enough throughput of propane with a fixed regulator of 30mBar to provide sufficient cooking heat at the BBQ. I've now bought a 37mBar standard regulator to fit a BP cylinder.

Moral of the story - read the instructions first! and be mindful of pressures if you are buying a gas BBQ to run from a BBQ point on a 30mBar regulator.

Had read the instructions but had not thought about the pressure at the BBQ point.

So thanks for that tip Alan.

Off to buy a regulator, some piping and jubilee clips . . . .
