gas on ferry

Hi,

when going on the ferry to france do you just turn the gas off or do you have to disconnect the bottles completly

Thanks

Trev

Just turn it off. If youb have a clip on regulator you could just unclip it, but I have never been asked to show the gas bottle in all the times I have been abroad.

For safety, turn the bottle off but no need to disconnect. I have never had a bottle examinined on a ferry in 20 years. The Tunnel, however, usually make you open the locker and physically check that the bottle valve is turned off.

Many years ago they used to ask you while you were in the boarding queue whether you had turned off the gas.

Now they don't and I have often wondered why.
