Gas shut off valve locations

Hi,

only joined yesterday and this is my second question already so apologies!

We will be connecting the gas up on the weekend on our Fleetwood Colchester (all pipes etc ok)..however after looking at the instructions (these are fairly generic ones not just for the Colchester model) they give the impression that there are gas shut off valves for all the gas appliances (heater, fridge and cooker)..however after having a quick look last nite i could only see shut off valves right next to the cooker which i'm assuming (?) are just for the cooker?

...do all caravans have seperate shut off valves for each appliance...as i need another look when i go to site on Friday if thats the case!

Thanks

Paul

Hello Paul,

We have had a number of different make caravans and as far as I can remember, they all had a manifold somewhere near the sink/cooker with pipes and valves running off to the appliances.

It may be that your van has a separate valve for each appliance.

if your van is reasonable new, i.e. in the last ten years, it should have isolation valves for each indiviual appliance, its a requirement of the gas regulations. Theres nothing to say the valve should be easily accessible though, as these arent emergency control valves
