I am sorry but I have to disagree with Christine's answer.
I am always a little sceptical about questions of like yours where you ask 'which is hotter'. The temperature of the flame is slightly different between butane and propane fuel, but this is not usually a significant difference when using the two gasses. Reading between the lines I do wonder if what you are asking is which gas will boil a pan of water quickest - am I right?
If you are using a new caravan with the standard 30mB regulator, then there could be a noticeable difference:-

With a 30mBar gas system whichever gas is used is supplied at the same pressure to the cooker (and all appliances). This means that as butane is the 'richer' gas it will release more heat and so the pan will heat up faster. It looks like it should be about 30% more, but the gas is also slightly denser so it dos not pass through the fine hole of the jet so easily, In practice butane flame will be about 20 to 25% more powerful.
If you are using the older gas standard, where Butane is regulated to 28mBar and propane to 37mBar, then the different supply pressure will almost eliminate any difference in the amount of heat released.
You will therefore use a greater volume of Propane GAS to heat your pan compared to Butane. But as gas is sold by weight not volume, you have to look at the relative density of the two gasses compared to air.
Butane is 2.08 and Propane is 1.55 which makes Butane 34% more dense (heavier) than Propane.
So on the one hand you use less volume of butane compared to propane, but because the Butane is more dense than propane, you will actually use slightly more weight of butane than propane to heat your pan of water. There are a lot of complex calculations to reach reasonable conclusion but cost for cost butane is likely to be slightly cheaper.
I do agree with Christine about winter usage. Propane LPG is more volatile than Butane and will continue to supply gas to your appliances at temperature well below 0C, where as Butane gas remains in its liquefied state at about 0C and below.
