Hi, We have just been away and tried to swap our butane (blue)for the same sized propane bottle (red) and was told at a campsite shop that they could only swap like for like. Is this normal or was it because we were not staying on the site. We stayed on a cl. Any advice welcome, cheers Doylie.
 
As far as I am aware if you go to a Calor dealer you can swop butane for propane, and vice versa.

However, a small camp shop may either not be aware of that, or just does not want to 'play ball' with you.

Try a Calor dealer and you should be ok.
