General. Dirty Filthy Caravanners

Hello Dusty,
Of the few entries I saw, yes it was beyond what I would call reasonable discussion, even beyond reasonabale banter, it was degenerating into crude sub-humour not worthy of blue comedians.
If such correspondence appeared on any company website, the protagonists would have been hauled over teh caols and even possibly dismmissed.
I totally agree with the topic being scoured and locked .

I'm sorry Prof but unless I missed a post I never saw any blue humour but if there was I totally agree that it should be removed.

I did not read the topic in detail, but what I did see shocked me to think that sensible people such as most caravanners would wish to particiapte in the posting of suggested explitives first and last letters and stars in between, and there was more than enough inuendo to know what contibutors were trying to imply. - or at leat I read it that way.

I don't generally comment on these debates but I think I also missed something. I did read the topic. Puerile and lavatorial humour it certainly was, but profane? Blue? It wasn't. Perhaps large swathes of it were deleted??

You can still read it all in the original place - or all except those posts which were deleted by the moderators - it hasn't gone completely but is just locked.

I accept that my views about the suitability of the replies in the topic may not have been shared by others who may a have a broader view on these things.
I was taken aback by the content of some of the replies that added nothing of value to topic, and in my view they were not even humorous - (I'm a committed grumpy old man) and in the context of the subject it was distasteful, unnecessary and inappropriate for that area of the forum.
I did not ask for the topic to be locked or removed, But I've lost no sleep over it its demise.
