Hi Sue the quiet gennys will run into hundreds but if you want to take te chance Aldi have got them in well within your budget but not advisable to run thro your charger on the van as they are two stroke and may sike bit and damage the chargerNot too noisey for short periods they run at 91dcbs.

Don't buy a two stroke - they are noisy & smelly (unless you are parked in a field all on your own) Most of the cheapies (Wolf etc) are 2-stroke. You would be better off buying one of the "suitcase" type which are enclosed and have a 4-sroke engine. The noise level is significantly lower and the fuel is cleaner (no oil)and last longer. In reply to Stewarts mail 91dB is a lot of noise - equivalent to a heavy diesel lorry, lawnmower or pneumatic drill.

A Honda 1Kva machine is 52dB wheras the Kipor is 54to 59 which is somewhere between a quiet office or quiet street but not as loud as a hairdryer, vacuum cleaner or dishwasher which are about 70-80dB

So you pays your money and takes your choice - just please don't park near me if you get a cheapie
