For those of you that don't know what the carnival is (like us when we first moved down to Somerset, never heard of it) it is the most spectacular illuminated carnival you are ever likely to see. It is a series of carnival nights, kicks off with the Bridgewater and is also at North Petherton, Wells, Burnham, Weston. The floats, called carts down here, are amazing, the classic case of it has to be seen to really appreciate it.

.........yes I am a fan of the Somerset Carnivals.

I am wondering what they are going to do about the ban on incandescent light bulbs?
I can imagine all sorts of cunning plans being hatched if I know anything about the Somerset mindset

Great stuff but carnivals are not restricted to the west of Somerset - Castle Cary and Wincanton do their bit as well !
Super job.
