We are going up for Hogmonay from Bristol and have just booked as I couldn't get anywhere else near to Aviemore. It looks wonderful but has anyone been and what did they think? Thanks

GORGEOUS... This site is on the shore of Loch Morlich, a kettle loch with a sandy beach, and it nestles at the foot of Cairngorm. If the weather is good the views are spectacular and it is only about 6 miles along an easy road from Aviemore. New toilet blocks were built a few years ago and they would be worth sleeping in if the weather is bad. They are both clean and warm, a vast improvement on their predecessors. There are lots of cycle tracks through the surrounding woods. At Hogmanay the midges will be on holiday elsewhere!

We too are going there for Hogmanay - hoping to toast the new year in on the beach assuming weather good. it is a lovely site, sort of rustic pitches not to formal. Brilliant place if you have children they have so much space to explore.

You are 7 miles from Aviemore, one warning if you want to go out on Hogmanay you will have to book - very few places are open to casual visitors over Hogmanay itself. We tend to spend it on site.

If you love the countryside you will really like the place - nothing like standing outside your van in the moonlight looking up to Cairngorm - or walking to the beach and looking out over Loch Morlich to the mountains.

As you may have guessed we really like the place and visit all year round.
