Good idea or not ?

Hi,

I was Googling a route to York via Selby to avoid the A64 from the A1, to York Caravan Park. Eventually I came to the entrance to the site, but of course could only zoom into the site, from the road. It crossed my mind that it would have been useful to turn into and to 'drive'around the site to have a good view of it.

Just an idea, but if individual sites contacted Google and requested that they send their camera cars around the sites, it would give us a better idea of what was on offer. Possible if both, or either of the main clubs requested this facility, I am sure that Google would be happy to oblige. This may then bring other commercial sites to request it to ensure that they are also included.

Just a thought, what do you think of the idea ?

Best regards,

George

You can already do that, George, or a similar thing anyway, on the Caravan Club website. Don't know if it's available on all their sites, but certainly a lot of them have a 360 degree virtual tour you can take, if you click on the appropriate bit on the individual site page.
