I gather in 2020 100 new CLs joined the CMHC an increase of 13% on the network. Also 410 landowners applying for CL status by the end of 2020.

We have booked a night each way at a new CL en route to Yorkshire. Only a short detour off of our route.

I often read in the magazine about the new ones opened but there are, usually, more that have closed. Meaning that the overall number is reducing.
We use cl's 99.9% of the time.

Well since early 2020 the overall increase is very positive. Each month in the CMHC magazine the new ones greatly exceed the closures. As in my post above 100 new CL sites opened last year, ( 2020) a 13% increase in CLs on the CMHC network. So whichever way you look at it the number of CLs has significantly increased, not reduced. I suspect the same may be shown on CS but I’ve not seen the annual figures for CCC. It’s good news for touring and for the landowners too.
