good washing machine recommendations?

hello all

I would like to get recommendations on washing machines, washing lines and spin dryers and suggestions on how to keep dirty laundry - we had ours in a plastic bag in one of the lockers and it started to smell because of being slightly damp.

We just use the onsite laundrette for washing clothes. We then dry them on a window rack and a camping rotary dryer and then finish them off in the laundrette tumble dryer. We've also put a telescopic net rod in the shower room to hang damp things on as it gets very warm in there when the heating is on and dries things very quickly.

As for dirty laundry, we've got a great sunncamp folding laundry basket that we keep in the awning. It works on a similar principal to those chairs that fold into a tube-like bag and is mesh in places to allow a bit a through air flow.

do you mean washing machines for the van? why not use the site facilities or even better find a local laundry where you can drop your washing off in the morning on your way out and pick it up dried and ironed in the afternoon! As for lines there was an article in the caravan club magazine regarding "smalls on show" and it is obvious that some people out there object to people drying laundry on site as it poses an eye sore but we use a rotary line at the back of the van with a stand available from most leisure stores. incidently, we keep our laundry in a bag in the shower, with 2 young kids it's not there fore long before a pile appears!
