As a caravanner and a huge F1 fan:

Goodbye Micheal: It has been an honour and a pleasure to watch you race. Your drive today was sublime.

Imagine him at the wheel of a Hummer with an Airstream in tow:)

I was about to say exactly the same sentiments Frank.

I do not doubt his ability but hold him in the same contempt as those Footballers who are shown on camera as "taking a dive".

A brilliant driver with the guts and courage to drive a Formula Car well past its safe limits.

THAT is why he will alway be a legend, and why others are NOT World Champions.

There's no comparison with what he achieved, and the 'self-styled, spoilt, overpaid, drunken violent brat' image of most poofter footballers.

Keith, I agree, nuff said. he is a Legend and was always exciting to watch, I will miss him, F1 will never be the same again, can't think of anyone on the track at the moment that will hold me spell bound, or on the edge of my seat.

The only comparison I can see between Schumacker and Football Players is that they are both paid to much money for what they do!!!!. Everytime I have tried to match schuu I have been stopped for speeding. So in my opinion he is to blame for my speeding tickets .ie encouraging people to drive fast, the same as the muppet from Top Gear.

The Best thing since slice bread - think not.

Lets look at the facts Adelaide, Phoenix etc the list goes on the fact that so many of his wins where achieved under team orders.

In sport no one should be bigger than the team this guy was.

He was a good driver able to win through some very clever guys who take no recognition and a brilliant technical director.

I remember a question put to Ron Dennis of McLaren once about would he sign MS he was a typical politician and gave no answer.. Wonder why ??

Agreed 91%

Have to disagree on the typical politician giving no answer.

Politicians always know the answer.

They just never understood/understand the big question.

Seriously tho' - the "team orders" is a good point with MS. I often wonderred what it would be like in a true "Free Vote/Drive".
