After suffering with IE9 I,ve been using Chrome for some months and it seems faster and much less touchy. Free and easy download and will transfer Favourites fom IE. Only problem has been with Lloydstsb website - their helpline says 'try IE' -perhaps they should divert funds fromexecutives to IT department !

Same here, have been using it since September 2009 .
I have a shortcut on my desktop to Lloyds TSB to do online banking & it works ok on either IE or Chrome, but this PC is still XP...
I must say that i have not tried it on the wifes laptop, as that has got windows 7 on as a operating system....

Using Chrome on laptop with Windows 7, but had same problem with ltsb when using it with Vista premium. My techie friends tell me chrome is a little more secure than IE but they tell me all sorts of things depending on how much 'computer oil' they've had at the tiem.
Bearing in mind that you become more familiar with a product the longer and more you use it, but I have deliberatly used Chrome for several years now.
I had become frustrated with IE for several reasons that included:-
IE was slower,
It wasn't as streamlined in its presentation and user freindleness
Finding frquently used web sites (like PC) was fiddly where as Chrome was much simpler
Better more focused range of apps have become more available for Chrome.
Whether these reasons are still valid I don't know because I barely touch IE , If Chome won't do something I tend to go for Firefox.

I love Chrome and now with an Android phone I'm totally linked together, whichever device I'm using.
Regarding Banking, there is an important point to make and regardless of browsers, NEVER keep a link to banking or any other money matters in favorites. This gives a place for malware to hide and get access to your account so always type afresh in the title bar.
Also as I found almost to my cost!, once lodged in the link, it is capable of doing the same even typing a fresh page!, so get rid if you have a link.
Of course, if you use chrome typing afresh is easy, na enter, gets me straight to NatWest, pa, paypal, p, here, etc, chrome second guesses you all the time based on your habits, the more you use it the more intuitive it gets, so no need at all to keep links
