Grubby grab handles

The grab handles on my van have lost their shiny surface and have become "porous" and very grubby.

Can anyone suggest a paint that would restore the surface ?

I thought maybe plastic gutter paint.

This happened on our 1990 Ace and I replaced the handles quite cheaply via the dealer
