Guy Ropes...Correct way to configure them

Hi.
Maybe a daft question, but I never seem to be able to "thread"/"configure" the guy ropes on my awning.
Although I seem to be able to tension them ok,they just dont look right.
As you can see here......mine look terrible.

I had a Suncamp a few years back. I think your Guys look fine to me Ade. The end ones are tensioning outwards whilst the inboard ones are keeping the poles in tension. Well done I'd say

Thats very kind of you Dustydog.
I tried to get the picture to zoom in closer where you will see that the metal "Slider thingy" where you can adjust to put the correct tension into the ropes,is doing absolutly nothing.
Oh well.....if the ropes look good from a distance then thats how they will have to stay.......lol

I can't ever get the slider thingy right either. Hope someone replies with a close up picture. I was never a girl guide you see. I have to say that your guy ropes look a little long as they seem to be pegged down some way from the awning. Could be an illusion.
