I am a male and well into my fifties never cooked in my life but bought a Halogen Oven now I cook everything lamb joints pork beef even turkey.
They are fantastic except for making cakes best stay with a conventional oven for cakes.
When cooking a joint I wrap in foil after basting in either butter or olive oil cook on about 225 for forty minutes then remove foil and cook on 150 for about twenty minutes and the meet is perfect
for the price they are sold it is an excellent buy and you will not regret it

Hi Jo-Anne, I also have an Halogen Oven which I bought at christmas, its marvelous. We bought it for the caravan but using it at home until caravaning starts for us. I,ve cooked jacket potatoes, they come out crispy just like a convential oven and sausages, bacon, fish , meat joint, chops etc. Wouldn,t be without it. Thinking of getting one just for leaving in the caravan so I can use one at home as well. I paid abt 59.99 for mine its a JML but i,ve seen a cheaper one in Aldi and B & M stores that one is 39.99 big difference in price. If i do buy another one I,ll go for the 39.99 one. They are very light even though the base is glass. Get one and give it a try. You wont regret it once.
