Which pegs are recommended for awning use in hardstanding pitches. 6" or 8" Screwpegs which are put in using a drill or 8" Rock pegs with screwed end which you hammer in.

Any advice or experiences greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith

Stop pinching my questions, I posted something very similar a couple of weeks ago.

Hi Keith,

We use the hammer in type, with 2lb lump hammer, normally OK, occasionally will bend the peg, if that happens just chuck it away and buy some new ones, can't comment on the screw in type other than they seem expensive to me.

Hi,

If you scroll through the past posts on this topic you should come across the details of the Screw in pegs we use made from a coach screw with wingnut both from screwfix at a fraction of the "official" screw in pegs cost, they work very much better than the hammer in type, twisting and turning work better than brute force and ignorance though the latter is normally my forte
