Hi All
We have decided to not travel quite so far on the Continent this summer and so we are thinking of a 2 site holiday in Brittany.

We are planning to go first to the North Coast of Brittany and then on to an old favourite, Du Letty in Benodet.

We have narrowed our searchfor a north coast site down to:

Camping Porte La Chaine, Pleubian

or

Ar Kleguer, St Pol de Leon

Has anyone stayed at either site? We are hoping to get a pitch with a seaview.

Thanks in anticipation.

General comments on the areas of Pleubian and/or St Pol Leon would be very useful too.

We'd, also, appreciate recommendations for other good sites in Northern Brittany, preferably with a seaview. We've never toured in this part of Brittany. We do have a motor mover so can manoeuvre onto difficult pitches.

We're hoping to stay in the North of Brittany for c14 nights between 26 July and end of August, either the first or last 2 weeks. It has to be then as we are both teachers.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Tim,
We stayed at Ar Kleguer St Pol De Leon last year for a couple of nights at the end of our holiday and enjoyed it. We were looking for somewhere close to Roscoff for an easy ferry connection back to the UK and it exceeded our expectations. They have a website that is worth lookong at.
The site is a mix of touring and static vans with various sized pitches. Not many Brits around when we were there, (mainly French and Dutch) but they made us very welcome and St Pol de Leon is a nice place to wander around on a sunny day, we wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

Thanks Dave
After more enquiries only Porte La Chaine had the pitch we needed when we needed it so we've booked there for 2 weeks and then down to Du Letty at Benodet.
Thanks again for posting.
Tim
