has anyone used etyres to come out and fit tyres to their caravan? Their prices seem very reasonable and it would save the hassle of towing it into town. If they are rubbish, who else would you recomend?

thanks for this Raymond - thats exactly what I was hoping someone would tell me as they looked the best value and with no hidden "extras" (unlike Kwick fit!)

Will book them now

once again - thanks for the help

I've used them also for car tyres, very quick service and very handy as they will come to you to fit them (and the cheapest around at the time!). The only negatives were that the fitter damaged my alloy wheels when fitting the tyres (chipped the laquer and paint in a couple of places) but this could happen at any tyre fitters, also the wheels were balanced using a machine in the van and these machines do not balance car wheels properly, they are designed for narrow motorbike wheels and only balance in one plane so I would suggest getting the balancing checked elsewhere if possible.

thanks Paulus - they are coming on Friday to fit two tyres on the caravan. Girl on the phone was very helpful and very professional. Daft question perhaps but do caravan tyres need balancing like car tyres? Also, normally, I would check the wheel nut torgue when I have been on the road for twenty ish miles - will I still need to do this after he has put the wheel nuts back on with the gun thingy (or is it a question of especially checking them after he has fitted them with the gun thingy - 'scuse the technical term!!)Single female towing caravan with dogs on board- can't think of anything worse than the wheel coming off!

with car the fitter normally tightens wheel with a normal wrench as the impact guns can do it so tight you would struggle to get it off .If you have your torque wrench ask him/her to use that then check it after a few miles
