Have you made long term friends whilst caravanning.

We are going to see some Dutch friends we made when we were at Sandyballs campsite in the New forest five years ago. Each year we have been to see them in Holland and vice versa they have visited us.

We struck up a good relationship and always keep in regular contact.

I just wondering if others have made long term friends from carvanning locally or international.

We have made a few friends caravanning usually in France

We met a couple on a CC rally at Bayeux 15 years ago and see them a few times each year including caravan holidays

We met another couple 10+ years ago in Sarzeau because he had a racing bike in the car and it transpired that we knew a lot of people on the Manchester cycling scene in the 60s.We talk each week and meet up every few weeks and go on continetal and Uk holidays together

We got friendly with the owner of the site in Sarzeau and visit the family now that they have retired

There are a lot of friends that we bump into each year on C & CC Carefree rallies in France who we are always pleased to meet up with

yes we have made alot of good friends from the uk and meet up through out the year

We met a family from Derbyshire while we were at Royan 5 years ago and we have become good friends and meet up in France every year and also a couple of weekends in this country. We are planning to go and stay with them over Christmas for a couple of days as well.
