Heater fault light

Hi there. I've got a 1999 2 berth sterling. Never had a problem in over 30 trips with the water heater. This weekend after a few seconds with green light on. (In glass panel by door) The heater fault lit red underneath the green light. Pump works. Water from both taps ok. Red button under bench hasn't popped out. All ok last weekend what else can I try?? Lone lady caravanner.

The 3 lights, Red, Amber and Green only apply to when the heater is running on gas.
Therefore, with red showing you have no gas supply , or if the heater lights the flame is not being recognised.
Check that you have gas available and that any isolation taps are open.

If it still refuses to light or stay lit, get a caravan engineer to look at it, it may be a faulty burner module.

The red button under the bench relates only to the electric heating element.

The red/green/ light are not the ones on the heater panel - the one that also runs the blow heating - this is all working.
It is the rocker switch for electric in the panel to the electric
I don't know how to paste a pic??

Sorry, you have lost me.
You are talking about two totally different systems, 12v and 230v and from what you have said so far, nothing makes sense.
I suggest you contact a mobile caravan engineer to sort it out for you.
