Bought a Kimberley Swift S line Caravan Special just over a year ago having problems with Truma heating. The bottom 12V fuse keeps blowing. Had several people to look at it ; however may have got to bottom of it now by replacing fuse with time delay fuse. My local chap seems to think the wire shortens somewhere in the van causing a spike which makes the fuse blow. Have plugged the electric in several times and so far so good! Anybody else experienced problems with this. 🙁

The manufacturer fits a particular type and size of fuse to provide protection! swapping the type or rating of a fuse to make it less prone to operating means you have increased the risk of electrocution or damage to the caravan or appliance wiring.
It's far too casual to simply say there must be a short somewhere else, and no self respecting electrician would be happy to leave an installation with such a suspicion. Its dangerous and irresponsible.
Clearly PC if you were familiar with electrics you would not be happy with your local chap's report, and consequently I have to suggest you get a qualified electrician to sort it out for you.
