Hello (again!), Just to say hello to some of the 'old faces' that may remember me. I used to post on here years ago from around 2003, but in 2010 I had bad stroke and then found it difficult to get back on here, so I Re-registered, hence my recent joining date. I've still got my van (2009 Vermont) and 2010 cr-v , and thanks to my good lady doing al of the driving and towing, we still caravan in much the same way as we did before my 'do'. I now put my battery buggy in the back of the car in bits, and put it together on site, so I can get about.Quite a few aspects of caravanning are harder for both of us and the physio's were not overwhelmed when I fiirst told them I was going off in the van, but at least it has no stairs to fall down ( except the steps), and it is easies than a house to hobble around in! It is good to get away and see our van friends and worth a bit of extra effort. I see quite a few of the 0ld names on here, and that is good. I hope you are all keeping well. All the best, Rod

Hello Rod, it's lovely to see you back in the fold

I'm sorry to learn that you couldn't access this forum, if you'd have clicked the link in my signature below I'd have sorted it for you but you're here now and that's what matters.
I understand only too well how difficult things can become after a bad stroke (got the T shirt

) but as I'm certain that you are finding out, we find different ways of doing things which can take a bit longer, but as your strength continues to build and you get less tired you can win in the end.
I always feel much better when we're away in the caravan, I sleep like a baby, if I fall over it's only on grass and if your good lady supports you as much as mine does me you'll be fine.

Nice to welcome another 'old face' back into the fold!
The freedom of caravanning is the best therapy there can be and from reading Parksy's post, it helps to know you're not alone.
Hope you continue to go from strength to strength and you know you can rely on the support of other forum members, who have been through the same.

Hi Rod

Great to hear from you again. Sorry to hear about your problem but well done for taking it in your stride and still enjoying your caravan.
SWMBO did a Caravan Club course some years ago and is competent in both towing and hitching and pitching. I'd recommenmd this course to anyone .
Well done to your other half for doing the towing. At least you can both continue to enjoy the wonderful world of caravanning.

Hi and welcome back. Glad you can still find a way to enjoy vanning. Well done to your OH on the towing. I have always said to my darling OH that should he become unable to tow, I would of course, immediatly push him aside for someone who could.
