Hi all,

Just signed up after making the jump from camping to caravan. We’re over in NI. Been having summer camping trips since 2021, staying before that in on site accommodation, but have been eyeing up a van for a couple of years. Family of 5 so hoping I’ve made the right decision!

Collected a 2005 Lunar Quasar 615-6. 1 owner from new, who had it all over the UK & Ireland. Kids grown up so was time for them to sell. Has been serviced every 2 years and he gave me a huge folder of all the original manuals and receipts, a real credit to his ownership. Full size awning and a smaller awning and all the usual kit included.
Almost felt bad buying it as they obviously had a bucket load of memories in it.
Last service found 25% damp reading in a rear corner, repair was booked in and that was included in the sale.
Hoping to get a few nights under our belts here and maybe get over to Mortonhall, Edinburgh, this summer.

Have given the interior a good deep clean, will do the outside too. Plan to keep it as is until we know it’s definitely for us. The heater doesn’t work but will likely leave it and only change will be the interior lights as the covers are yellowish. Couple of chips in the worktop and a table so ordered some epoxy resin.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have got a good buy of caravan, 25% damp is not over worrying unless it spreads.
Remember No question is daft,
Some of the Forum threads drift away, to argument amongst others but all in good fun.
