O.K. here goes, I will try and explain.

1. Lol posted originally that he was leaving the forum. Others posted saying they were sorry he was leaving.

2. A troll came in saying boo! hoo! bu**er off.

3. Mod deleted this post.

4. Another post from Lol (which seemingly isn't from him) saying that the reason he was finishing caravanning was because he was getting divorced. I found this strange because Loll said in his original post that they might return to it.

5. Brian asked His Moddyship to check if the post was from Lol and it turned out to have a different login to Lol's so His Moddyship deleted it and left it as ....

16 Jul 2007 12:46 PM To be honest I don't, as you know get upset with idiots posting whatever and your kind thoughts and wishes are appreciated and you will all be sadly missed but to answer some of your questions it is just the myself and my not so better half are getting divorce and the van had to go, so will sign off for now.

I'm convinced I was right earlier. I think Lol as fled to the Costas. He's probably holed up in some plastic surgery clinic right now and will emerge as a ladyboy with man boobs. This is his insurance incase he feels the hand of the law on his collar, he can then flee to Thailand to make a living :O)

And strangely Lord B I find that easier to believe than the spoof post:O) The post does though highlight how easy it is to troll this forum and what does concern me is a lot of us know who the fake posters are but the Mods seem unable/unwilling to stop them.

I've had personal detail posted about me in the past and I'm sure this was from the same person.

I can understand Lol leaving , this forum is enough to put anyone off caravanning for life.

Brian I feel sorry for His Moddyship. He is trying to do his best with the most basic of tools. By todays standard they are prehistoric. It's so easy for those who are determined and like to get their kicks by attacking others to just get a new email addy, I'm sure they must get sexual gratification from it. Until they have the tools to ban the users ISP addy things wont change. The only possible solution, daft as it sounds, is for us all to have a whip round to pay Plotter to re-enact his ancestors dastardly deed, but be successful this time, and blow up the Haymarket Towers servers.

Thank you LB fopr putting the picture straight. I now understand what is going on....I think.

At the end of the day I don't suppose it really matters whether I do or not.

As for the Forum being basic, I do agree. However, being so does have advantages in that one does not need a degree in computing to figure how it all works. I agree that can lead to idiots trying to spoil others enjoyment, but that seems to be the way of our world nowadays. Possibly reverting to 'hanging and flogging', I never could remember which comes first, would have a beneficial effect. The alternative, as we are all seeing with the current 'security measures' is that the majority have to suffer changes to their innocent lifestyles and personally I don't see why we should.
