We have had a tourer now for about 4 years and changed it about a month ago for a 2001 Swift Charisma 230.
We tow with a 1999 Volvo V70 TDI 2.5 litre diesel automatic.
We also have a Vauxhall Vectra GSI 2.5 litre petrol V6 equipped to tow.
My wife and I are in our 60's, she retired and I semi retired.
We are members of the C&CC and do about 70 nights away each year - though that might increase this year onwards as it is the first year of my wife's full retirement.
I have equipped our van with 80W solar charging and we usually use C&CC THS's for main long summer breaks, usually in the South UK.
All internal lights are converted to LED's too and with the same arrangement in our previous van have been without EHU on THS's for a month without problems.
We used to have a tourer from about 1979 - 1989 and usually had a continental trip each year.
After 1989 it became impractical with a new baby and just a 2 berth caravan so we sold up until 2011 when we bought our first recent tourer.
We live in the North West not far from Wigan.
