Welcome to Practical Caravan Wolfgang.

We live in the Yorkshire Dales - a lovely area for visiting with your caravan - and some great campsites. There are lots of helpful people on here, who will give you lots of useful advice and suggestions.

Hi Wolfgang, welcome to Practical Caravan forum.

I'm sure that our members will recommend sites for your visit.

Maybe Lutz will see this post he will have loads of places for you to visit agree with Val try Hawes in Yorkshire the Lake district, Peak District Chatsworth good site to visit here or Grinlow Buxton.

Middle England must do the Cotswolds Morton in the Marsh CC site, Bladen Chains CC for Churchill's birthplace Blenim Palace and his Grave, if you are coming at the peak time maybe rather crowded in Cornwall or Devon.

Welcome Wolfgang

It all depends on which ferry crossing you choose and how much towing you want to do when you arrive in England. Let us know on here and I'm sure you'll get lots of advice on any area you are interested in.

I'm coming to your side in August and having a week at Rhudesheim and a week near Bernkastel, taking in the Rhine in Flames at Koblenz.

Enjoy your trip!

Another 'hello' and welcome from an old regular also in Germany. We've taken our caravan many times to the UK and also to Ireland, although this year we're off to the Arctic Circle and the North Cape. If I can help you in any way, send me an email.

At present we own a Dethleffs Beduin 545V.
