Hello everyone

We are new to the forums.
We are currently looking for our first tourer, we are on a bit of a budget. We've had a static in the past but since moving, we have been without a caravan for a few years.

We are looking to go and 'winter' in Norfolk or Suffolk this year as we cannot face another (very) Northern Scottish winter. Actively hunting out those elusive winter seasonal pitches.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and getting back into the swing of caravanning.

Thank you.
We have a couple of Caravans on 'watch' on Ebay. We are new to Ebay and have no rating yet. We have managed to not use Ebay yet, to buy things. We have looked on Gumtree too but the photos lack a little something, like inside shots.

Hi cyclebuffs, welcome to the forum, ask as many questions as you like on here and you will get the honest answer's you require.
Please dont buy direct from the auction site!!! At least dont buy anything without loooking at it first.
Many vans (not all) are on there for a reason and most people want to off load there problems.
At least get a mobile engineer to carry out an inspection for you at I beleive to be around £60.00.
Parksy the very knowledgable Mod normally passes on this link but as he has popped off on a brake I'm sure he wont mind me giving it to you, http://www.caravanbuyersguide.co.uk/index.html
Hope this helps and enjoy the vanning world.

Thank you very much for the info.

We are going to view a couple we have seen on ebay, they are in the classified ads. Thank you for the links. We really appreciate the advice.

Hi Cycle buffs and welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and website.
My friend Kev has kindly passed the link for the caravan buyers guide to you (many thanks Kev, a volunteer is worth ten pressed men

) and I concur with Kevs advice, don't part with any money without inspecting the caravan thoroughly especially if you are buying from an internet auction site.
Have you considered checking out the local small ads or the classified section which appears every month in the Practical Caravan magazine?
There are often clean competitively priced caravans advertised and remember that the overall condition of a used caravan is much more important that it's age, in other words a good well looked after old 'un is a much better buy than a knocked about flashier model (so true in many aspects of life

)
Good luck with your search and if you have any questions however trivial they may seem don't hesitate to ask your knowledgeable and friendly fellow forum members who will be pleased to offer advice.
