Hello.................plz Help

Hello there !

Greeting all holders of knowledge.

I am about to "live" in my caravan whilst I save for my house deposit and am in an area with no hook up.

All help welcome as I know very little about living in a caravan.

I have a 27 footer with waste and water sorted, however all this electrical terminology confuses me ! I have a 15" 12volt tv and lots of gas bottles along with a generator and 2 x 110 lesiure batteries. Is this enough to survive ? can I have the shower running twice a day as well as tv for 6 hrs and heating on ?

HELP PLZ !

Many Thanks

Evzie

Heating and water heating will consume gas, providing you keep a supply you will have no problem. Shower pump will run on 12 volt battery.

You could considered having solar panel and voltage regulator to keep batteries charged.

Hi Simon,

We have just about managed 1 week on our single 110AH leisure battery. We didn't use the shower and, most evenings, sat in the dark!

We had no TV and our battery was only a few months old.

In my opinion, you should look for a site with hook-up or you will be running your generator for around 12 hours per day.
