Hi, we're new to the caravanning thing and have just bought our first caravan, a 2008 Bailey Ranger 540/6. We've just been away on our first outing, a week on a site in Widemouth Bay in Cornwall. Only an hour away from home, but far enough for our first trip. I must say, it was absolutely brilliant. There was 7 of us on this trip but will only usually be 6, two of them were in an inner tent in the awning and they loved it. The Caravan was everything we'd hoped it would be, and more. We are towing the caravan with a 2003 Fiat Ulysse 2.2jtd and it drove really well. The whole experience was great and we are so looking forward to the next trip which could be the end of this month.

Hi Daren, welcome to the forum.

I'm glad that your maiden voyage went well, congratulations on buying your caravan.

I hope that you have many happy times away in it.

Hi, welcome to the world of caravaning! We brought our Bailey Ranger 540/6 in February this year and been away in her a few times now and have enjoyed every single time even if it's rained more often than not - the wonderful british weather!! There's normally 4 of us and a couple of dogs but we all have ample room - the dogs are normally in the porch awning and just come in if it gets too cold - bless their cotton socks, I do tell my other half that there dogs but she won't have it! Hope that you enjoy yours as much as we do ours and have many happy vogages out in her!! We off to Norfolk at the end of the month just before the bank hols and looking forward to it very much!)
