Hello,

I havent got a caravan yet, but I am looking for one which will suit my needs.
Has anyone got any experiance on towing with a Honda Civic 1.8 petrol?
I would be very grateful for any thoughts. Thanks.

Hello Polly, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum

Sorry I can't help with information about the Honda, you may receive more information if you ask on the General message board.
Click Here to go to the Caravan Buyers Guide, this contains lots of useful information on how to go about buying a good used caravan and avoiding expensive pitfalls.
The best starting point would be to find the towing weight of your vehicle and then look for a caravan that you can safely and legally tow. If there's anything that you're not sure about, just ask and we'll be glad to help

Hi polly. Welcome to the forum. Get yourself to a big dealer, or a show armed with the kerbweight and towing weight of your car. Then spend lots of time getting in and out of vans, sitting in lounges and lying on beds. You don't have to buy from a large dealer or show but it is a good place to start as a large ariety of vans are all in one place. Ask lots of questions on here, people are happy to help.

Hi Polly
You haven't said which year model, auto/ manual model Civic.
You do need to establish the car's kerbweight, maximium noseweight and maximum manufacturers towing weight. Once you know these
you can then start loking at caravans in your weight range.
BTW, Welcome to the forum.
