Hello, my name is Julie. In June we bought a 2017 buccaneer clipper and have used it a couple of times now but each time we have had problems with the hydraulic legs. Last weekend we were unable to retract the legs at all and had to leave our van on the farm we were staying on. Two engineers were deployed to collect the van which is now back with the dealer for repair. Having never had this type or model before I wondered if this was a common problem?

Welcome to the forum Julie3258 :) .

Sorry but I don't know about 'hydraulic legs', I assume they are 'steadies' for the caravan.

I'm using old style screw-up -screw-down steadies

But I am sure someone will be along to help.

If your dealer can’t help try E&P Levelling Sytems who make the sytstem for the Explore group. It’s probably something simple like a failed sensor or controller. But I do wonder if the merit of having a relatively complex system in a caravan. It’s just something more to go wrong unless the engineering is first rate. Which in the caravan world is a rarity. Doesn’t yours have a manual mode to allow steadies to be lifted in the event of a power or sensor problem?

I agree with Clive , I would have thought there would have been some kind of manual override in case this was to occur which it has, what happens if you were further afield or abroad ?
