I have had a new PC (xmas pressie form son) and need a new virus protector that is a freebie download and how do I access it.

Try AVG - its a free one and quite good

AVG Free, or Avast are both free and both good.

Just downloaded the free professional version says it found 353 threats, i run Norton 360 but will be running this now and again for a good clean up.

If your running a PC you might as well use FRREE DOWNLOAD Security Essentials from MS as it works with their coding and does not slow the system.
