Have just encountered a problem with my above. This is a manual hand operated flush type and the flush action has failed so that there is very little flush water delivered on operating the hand pump. The action has now become very soft and with no apparent power like a bicycle tyre pump which has lost the valve seating.

To have a look at what might have happened I have removed the two grub screws which hold the bezel through which the pump handle shaft moves. However I am unable to remove this bezel using hand/finger pressure, I do not want to use a lever tool unless I can be sure no damage will result. Can anyone advise me how to proceed or must I make yet another visit to my dealer....

My van and of course this unit is now 3.5 years of age so therefore out of warranty.

Many thanks for reading this.....

Paul, go to www.thetford-europe.com Select "Built in Toilets" and repair instruction switch C200CWE.

There is an instruction for removing the electric flush switch panel which is the same as the manual push panel. There is apicture showing a small sflat blade screwdriver being used to lift the panel out of the housing.

Hi Paul, Sounds like the pump has failed, fairly common problem, caused by the bore of the pump being the same length of the shaft, therefore every time you shove the handle down it bangs on the bottom of the pump and eventuelly crack the base, to remove lift handle remove the two screws, gently prise the bezel out, (it's held in with sealing tape)you will then see how to remove the pump, can be at bit fiddly to remove. If I remember correctly you have to replace the whole pump, around
