Hi, We are newbees to caravaning!! Need help as we are in N Ireland and the number of dealerships is reduced. Lots of people sell caravans from their houses (lots of vans) but are not dealers. Caravaning is taking off here as a pasttime and we are in our holiday season, so it has limited the number of vans available. Our choices are: New 2008 Elddis Avante £12995, New 2008 Xplorer £10995, New 2008 Avondale Dart £9995, 2004 Coachman amara £9995, 2007 Compass £12,995, 2004 Bailey Pagent £8900(with awning). Our budget was 10k but we are not sure to go over it (didn't particularly like the interior fabric of the Elddis.

Will be buying early next week for the holidays, all advice needed, thanks. xx

Hi Beardman

My initial though is that you are paying top whack over in NI. Is there any merit in buying over here? You could make it part of your holiday?

Cheers

Ferry prices to much to add it all in, would blance the savings, we have looked at it. Typical NI, we pay top whack for everything here. The dealers bring in the vans from the mainland and add on, and on, because they have had to transport it.

They've got you by the goolies then.

So it would seem that reliability is high on your list. I'm a Bailey man but the Coachman has an attraction. What are your dealers like ? Are they reputable?

Cheers

yeah dealers are good. but the one we are going to buy from has a mobile technical fitter to hand. i think we are going to buythe bailey because it has an awning and is within our budget.
