HI Trev

3 years ago we went down to Canet Plage, the site we stayed at was "Camping Brasilia" (part of the yelloh village chain) we booked this through the caravan club. the site and facilities were excellent, good spacious fully serviced pitches and direct beach access. Definately a place I would go back to.

Thanks very much Rob E for your advice I was begining to think I had posted a trick question.

I will have a look at the site. It seems harder to pick in the south than the centre of France.

HI Trev

We managed the drive in two days from Zeebrugge, one overnight stop south of Dijon, just off the auto route, but there are obviously other route options depending on how much time you have.

Although we usually use the Zeebrugge-Canet route via Dijon, another excellent alternative is to Paris and then over the Millau viaduct - very little toll charges and fantastic views.

Agree with the Millau route we find it better

Dunqirk to Portragnes plage 12 hours (non stop) 2 drivers, otherwise stop at Orleans or Clermont Ferrand

Portragnes is a good well kept but large site with all facilities open in May when we went which was a pleasant surprise

Valras Plage also good & St Cyprien is a personal favourite for us too, enjoy
