Help with weight of abbey van...

Hi al lI have a 1991 Abbey 214GTS and I am wondering if anyone can help me with the weigh of it. Basically we towed with a 4x4 up until now so never worried about the weight but due to a car change I now need to find out.

Next to the door on the right hand side need the floor (external) there is a plate the info on it says

ABBEY

by COSALT

Serial number 10175

design weight 1060kg

model/year 1991

The van is a two berth with end kitchen/toilet.

Any help very greatfully recieved.

Hello Cate,

You have th einformatoin you are looking for, The design weight is themanufacures way of stating the maximum allowed weight of the loaded caravan. (equivalent of the new MTPLM)
 
I was hoping that was the case, thank you so much. Couldn't find information about what the design weight meant so didn't want to risk getting it wrong.
