In reply to freight moving by rail.

I would like to say that's ok to an extent. But surely there are problems with rail capaicity versus passenger capacity the

same as on the roads?

If you put extra freight onto rail, you still need something to move it to it's final destination.

Surely the rail network is like the road network,it's under funded and needs updating.

I am only telling this story because it reminded me of 3 incedants on the M25 by Irish registration HGV and by the same firm , and a good interval between incedants.First was at junction 26 i was doing 60mph on cruise , nice safe distance from lorry in front, Irish HGV overtook and cut me up which took me almost to the grass verge Next was approaching A21 turnoff ,i was in centre lane which is the appropite lane for A21 with indicaters on , when again one of these hgv came up the inside of me and swept across my front and again i had to brake. Third, again M25,this time i had to speed up as i could almost read the name on his headlamps , you could not see his vehicle except the front. These have stuck in my mind more than all the other mainland europeans have .
