Hi there. I decided to join your forum since it is active. I need some practical advise on a DIY Caravan build which I intend to build myself
with no experience on caravan builds.

The caravan will essentially be a home which I can live in. It will have a sofa, desk, foldable single bed, kitchen and tv mount.

I have a design which I want people to look at and give me their point of view.

Hi and welcome to the Practical Caravan forum.
I sorted out the image for you, and from what you've drawn I wonder why you want to build or convert a caravan when the design that you've shown tallies more or less with touring caravan layouts that are wideley available anyway.
I don't know what budget you have available but look around caravan dealerships for a model with a fixed bed or fixed single beds if you prefer. For an 'office' just buy a laptop computer and a mobile phone and find a caravan site where you could rent a long term pitch if you intend to live in this caravan. There is a wealth of information available on this forum about living in a tourer full time, Click Here

Hi, welcome to the forum. Parksy is right, lots of vans out there with a silmilar layout and with a washroom and toilet as well. Have a look at the caravan finder website to get an idea of all the different layouts and prices. Second hand may well be much cheaper than scratch built. Let us know how you get on. However if you do decide to convert an existing van or build from scratch, post your questions in the Technical section. I'm sure someone will help.
Good Luck

A warm welcome to the forum, your heading suggest you are to convert an existing caravan, have you got it yet?
First thought would be to move the PC desk to the bed area, enlarge the sofa and have that doubling up as your seating and bed area
this in turn would move the sleeping area away from the cooker and give you easier access to the storage cupboard.
Good luck and dont forget to post some pictures as you progress.
