Hi we are Rodger and Julie, living in Oxfordshire. We have had 3 vans from when we started in 1990. These include Elddis, Coachman and Bailey.
I have just ordered a dealer special from the NEC based on an Abbey Vogue 495. Once you have a fixed bed layout, it is hard to change back to making up the beds again!!
Now looking to sell the Bailey Vendee'03. I will miss that van as it is a good layout, as the kids do not come away with us anymore as it is not cool anymore.
I tow with a Honda Accord Tourer i-CTDi, this is a great car for towing and comfort, however the 1500kgs limit on it can alter your choice of vans but this will be ok with the new van. The limit I am led to beleive is there because of the small oil cooler for the gearbox.
Still a great car though.
Anyone thinking of going for a fixed bed, go for it you won't regret it at all.
