High level brake light on 2008 Swift Challenger

Noticed this morning that one side of the red high level brake light cover was loose on our 2008 Swift Challenger, so I removed the two plugs and attempted to take the cover off, but it won't budge.

I phoned my dealer to ask how I remove this cover and was told they are attached to velcro pads, but try as I may, the red cover remains firmly attached at one side.

Does anyone know how the cover comes off?
 
Problem solved. I got a taller ladder and was able to look down behind the cover and saw that it was attached to a velcro pad on one side, but the backing plate of the velcro pad on the other side had become unstuck from the van, so will now re-stick it.
