Hitch damper

Hi folks, I think my hitch damper is on its way out,has anyone changed one of these on an Abbey van,was it a simple job or should I get a dealer to do it? I am quite competent with the tools,many thanks,Denis
 
Denis, I have a Lunar 462 1997 a few years ago I replaced the reversing damper no problem I bought the damper from Western Towing you can Google that cant remember the cost but certainly a lot cheaper than the dealer who had just serviced the van and didnt detect the damper being seized hope this is some help.
